Okay everyone. Let's spill. What are your tips for this game? I'm really new to this type of game, so I could even use tips regarding basic strategy, etc.

1. Don't fly a chopper. Wait until you can practice on an empty server with Fenix or similar talking you through it.
2. Know the role of the class you're in.
3. As medic provide health and revives for teammates. Run from enemy vehicles. Play conservatively until you get the good weapons.
4. As recon don't just snipe. Spot enemies for teammates as much as you can. C4 enemy tanks and buildings.
5. As assault set the tracer as your secondary weapon and mark all enemy vehicles, since other classes have better uses for their secondary. Toss out ammo boxes in areas your team is holding. Learn to drive/fly vehicles.
6. As engineer heal vehicles and RPG traced enemy vehicles. Avoid driving vehicles and instead sit in the passenger seat so you can hop out and heal it when necessary while the driver stays in.
7. Crouch and iron sights when engaging an enemy far away. Move around fast when they're up close.
8. 40mm nades... learn to love using them and hate getting hit by them.

More to come.

Chilly's notes continued

As Assault
-Burst fire is your friend, at mid to long range keep to 3-5 round bursts. Only go full auto in desperation when enemies are in your face but out of knife range
- use your 40mm grenades Properly, use them to open holes in walls for you teammates to assault buildings easier, Open a door for yourself, get at enemies behind cover
-don't forget your ammo kit can re supply yourself as well as teammates, throw it whenever you see a group of teammates huddled together, everybody loves having a grenade handy.
-the 40mm grenade is good for taking down ATV's, APC's anything with armor is pointless to shoot at, or in chilly's case slow moving helicopters ( gunners beware)

as Medic
- stay out of the direct line of fire, your LMG has 100+ rounds for a reason, covering fire is very handy if the entire enemy is ducking behind something
-always have a med kit handy, once you unlock it throw it down whenever you, or a teammate engage an enemy, being able to take a few extra shots is a blessing
-DON'T DEFIB PEOPLE IN THE DIRECT LINE OF FIRE OR IN A FIREFIGHT. most of the time you or the person you revived is going to die right away and its really pointless. wait until its more safe to bring them back, there is a spawn timer.
-try to make a habit of asking friends if they want to be revived, sometimes we want to change loadouts
-don't burst fire your LMG it is a fact that the longer you maintain fire, the more accurate the gun becomes.

as Engineer
-I like to keep the tracer as my engie's second, so i'm able to tag and knock down vehicles without to much effort
-the smg is good for all ranges keep shooting to 1-3 round FAST burst fire, point blank spray them down, the SMG is extremely effective for that
-the RPG is your friend, you can use it for everything
-try to hang around vehicles, the longer your vehicles are alive, the easier it is to push/defend points.
-Just like the Medic stay out of the direct line of fire, the engineer is a support role.

as Recon
-learn to compensate for bullet drop and delay, this can be a bit tricky, if you hold down your mouse 1 button you can watch your tracer round, this makes it easy to compensate,
-if you use C4, take out buildings and vehicles, if you like the Mortar (I do) its great for breaking up groups of enemies, support fire, If your attacking in rush and your teammate plants the charge, mortar strike it, keep them off!
-the Motion sensor, once unlocked, is also very useful. It lets ALL of your teammates see any enemy in its radius.

Tips,
- stay moving, don't hunker down in one spot for to long keep moving, keep people guessing were you might be
-don't practice flying in a game, unless you can fly. empty servers are great for practicing, ISLA INOCENTES in the rush game type starts with 2 blackhawks on attacking, these are the easiest helicopters to learn to fly with.
-only knife when necessary, bullets are more effective. if you have to chase them to knife them, don't.
-play through the single player a bit to get use to the game, going into the Multiplayer brand new isn't fun, get a hang for the game in the campaign.

Always try to have fun, if all else fails try to repair tool or defib someone to death. yes that does work
copy and paste has failed me

I just tell our medic to let me be if that's the case. Sometimes you want to spawn back to get a vehicle too.

More protips:
1. Tracer darts don't drop over distance, so just aim in front of a moving target and you're good.
2. If you're fighting a couple people and one is a medic, try killing him first. Otherwise he'll just revive whoever you just killed and you'll have accomplished nothing.
3. When dropping from a helicopter, open your chute as late as possible. You can do it 10 feet from the ground and not take damage. Otherwise you take more fire in the air and opponents are far more likely to see where you're landing.
4. Obviously bullet drop is something to think about as a sniper. You can get an easy feel for it though: short to medium range aim for their head, long range aim for the red triangle when you spot them.
5. Spot EVERYONE no matter how far away they are. You never know if a teammate has a scope aimed near that area or if your UAV/chopper is looking for someone to kill. You rank up far faster too.
